Life isn't perfect, but your hair can be - especially with extensions.

Switching up your hair to a longer, fuller, more voluminous style is fun, and one of the best (most non-committal) ways to achieve a major hair makeover is by experimenting with extensions. Your hairstyle options are practically endless when it comes to extensions—they give you even more freedom to rock unexpected cuts and colors. Trust us, once you look in the mirror, you’ll feel like a whole new person.

WHAT ARE TAPE EXTENSIONS?

Instantly transform, lengthen and thicken your hair

Tape in hair extensions is a semi-permanent hair extension method that usually lasts around 8-10 weeks before needing adjustments. The flexibility and customisable advantages make tape extensions undoubtedly popular for events, weddings or short term periods. More permanent and less bulky than clip in extensions, they are favoured for their quick and easy application time and for their natural-looking finish. Tape-ins brought the average time for getting extensions down from several hours to as little as 30 minutes. Tape-in extensions are very flat, which results in a more natural look overall when installed. A lot of my clients have finer hair and don’t want to have a full head of extensions, but they still want the look of thicker hair. We love using tape-in extensions because we wanted to customize the amount of hair for clients of all ages and hair types.

WHAT ARE MICRO RING EXTENSIONS?

A more permanent method of hair extensions, micro rings instantly add volume, length and density to your hair, using micro-beads. Select your hair colouring, desired length and density and watch us magically transform yourself with luscious healthy locks, ideal for individuals conscious of thinning or fine hair. The hair extensions are applied by attaching tiny bits of hair to the natural hair with a silicone bead. A micro-bead tool is then used to secure the bead to the hair by securing it in place . This can take 2 to 4 hours to apply. No use of heat or chemicals in the way tape-in extensions do, and will need repositioning every 2-3 months. While this method takes a little longer to complete, the results speak for themselves. Feel more confident everyday with fuller voluminous hair. How long do the extensions last?

MICRO RINGS

The longevity of this hair extension method is one of the amazing things about micro rings. While other techniques may last from as little as a day (clip-ins) to 8 weeks (for example, the celebrity weave), micro rings can last for up to 4 months. This is because they grow alongside the hair and their individual nature means they don’t get too uncomfortable to wear, or too obvious to others.
The 100% Human hair we offer is also reusable, with the ring being released during the re-fit and the process being repeated – meaning that micro rings can be a nifty little investment for those who love long locks. They therefore also have the added benefit of saving your clients money over a longer period.

TAPE

Generally, tape in hair extensions can remain in your hair for between seven and ten weeks, at which point you will need to go back to the salon to have them re-taped to the appropriate length. You can use the same set of hair extensions up to three times before they need to be replaced, meaning that each set will typically last between four and six months before you should consider purchasing a new set. Using your extensions for too long could cause them to break and frizz, making them look more unnatural next to your hair.

Do hair extensions damage your hair?

The most frequently asked question..

Hair extensions are completely damage-free when fitted properly by a reputable hair extension technician. The reason that micro ring hair extensions cause no damage to the hair is because they do not use glue or any other harsh chemicals in order to form bonds between the extension and the natural hair. Hair is simply slotted into the micro ring along with the extension and clamped shut.

Whilst it has been said that the added weight of the hair and the micro ring itself could cause damage to the hair, this is not the case. Hair is surprisingly strong and will not break for some time if a gradual force is applied. Most people’s hair could withstand the weight of large amounts of micro ring extensions before any breakage would occur.

In addition to this, the nature of micro ring hair extensions means that they can be easily removed. They are removed by unclamping the metal ring so that the hair can be freed from the bond. Hair extensions bonded by glue cannot be removed so easily. Harsh chemicals are often used in order to breakdown the glue, to free the hair, therefore causing damage to both your natural hair and to the extension itself.
